Sr Bachchan made his debut as a cricket commentator today, while many were singing praises for the actor, some didn’t miss a chance to troll him on Twitter
With his famed baritone, Amitabh Bachchan on Sunday (February 15) donned the hat of a cricket commentator during the World Cup match between India and Pakistan at Adelaide, Australia. The Shamitabh actor was in the commentary box alongside Arun Lal, Rahul Dravid and Kapil Dev among others.
While Bachchan’s impressive debut as a cricket commentator earned him plaudits from several Bollywood celebs like Sidharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt among many others there were some people who didn’t miss a chance to troll Mr Bachchan on Twitter. Here’s what they had to say….
@hardism: Amitabh Bachchan’s commentary has been like Abhishek’s career so far, he says something clever once in a while but it is mostly just crap.
@jhunjhunwala: What a tragedy. After 45 years in the film industry Amitabh Bachchan is honored by being made to partner Arun Lal in the commentary box.
@Heeden_Azaar: Amitabh bachchan is our lucky mascot. Last time he was the commentator we saved teen guna lagaan 😀
@MohitDhruv: I wonder if @SrBachchan would have said “Rishte me toh hum tumhare baap lagte hain”…
@filmypun: Amitabh bachchan was not doing commentary. He was giving interview which got telecast on StarSports
@moonsez: Amitabh is speaking too much. Perhaps he’s being paid at the rate of words per minute.
@ojasism: Amitabh’s commentary is worse than Doordarshan
